Body

The body approach centers the wisdom of the body by creating experiences where survivors can learn to listen to, attend to the sensations, memories, feelings, triggers, pleasures, and messages/data coming from the body. The body is wise, it holds our joy, contains our stories and is the first site of our liberation.

This approach can encourage and empower us to be curious and compassionate towards ourselves as we re-member and re-connect to the complex systems that we carry within our bodies. This approach helps us to ground, and find peace and calm within our bodies. It moves us beyond words, beyond doing, beyond reacting, and into the realm of being.
